Walgreens April Sales Increase 5.9 Percent
DEERFIELD, Ill.—-Walgreens had April sales of $5.68 billion, an increase of 5.9 percent from $5.36 billion for the same month in 2009. The company’s Duane Reade acquisition, which closed April 9, contributed 2.2 percentage points to the total sales increase.
