    2010 - 07.31

Lung cancer is a horrible sickness and fatal. ViRob is able to crawl through the body and deliver appropriate drugs to tumors in the lung. By loney the precise area and tumor the overall success will be more prevalent. ViRob will too be able to samples from areas of the body giving researches an unobtrusive method for diagnoses. Unobtrusive is relative to the need for surgery.

The tiny robot could be adapted with a camera to take a view of possible problems within the body allowing Doctors a more detailed view of what is really taking place. This possibly would conclusion the need for test after test, as Doctor’s attempt to determine without fault the accurate diagnosis.

ViRob outfitted with a tiny cutting devise will be able to snip absent offending tumors allowing doctors to speed up the medical process. Once the diagnosis and removal process is speeded up, chances for full recovery escalates in the favor of the patient.

Small ViRob is an autonomous revolutionary robot only 1 mm in circumference and 14 mm in length. The robot is controlled with the use of a external electromagnetic ignition system. It is enabled by a frequency and volume that does not cause any complications to the body. The vibration allows ViRob to go through the veins and arteries, eventually finding its way to the targeted area. Low frequency magnetic field does not have any medical implications.

    An Intro to Natural Remedies

    2010 - 07.31

This article is only meant to be an introduction to natural remedies.

How many terms have you heard? In my library alone I have:

    • The Green Pharmacy

    • Natural Residence Remedies

    • Residence Remedies from the Country Doctor

    • The Healing Power of Food

    • Miracle Medicine Food

    • Back to Eden

    • Nutrition Prescription

    • Let’s Eat Right to Stay Healthy

    • The Food Pharmacy

    • The Herbal Drugstore

And the list goes on. I have a book case full and am continually adding.

What do all these books have in common?

Natural remedies encompass so much more than herbals. When you “treat” someone “naturally” there are many tools at your disposal. To name a few:

    • Attitude – one’s attitude truly does make a difference in their well being

    • Hope – where there is no hope even a healthy individual would give up and succumb to illness

    • Meditation – clearing the intellect helps to relieve the body of stress

    • Nutrition – We truly are what we eat. Whether you are eating unhealthy foods you will become unhealthy, by the same token, eating a proper diet helps to keep ones health in balance.

    • Herbs – I will use this term loosely to include spices, bark, roots, leaves, flowers, and herbs. It will cover all vegetation that is natural without chemicals, preservatives and other man made additives. Herbs and spices are very vital because they are our best ally in combating the many additives and unhealthy things in our lifestyles.

    • Aromatherapy – many herbs can be favourable by inhaling

    • Massage therapy – the accurate skin stimulation can improve stimulation and heal the body. There are too a host of herbs and nutrients that can enter the body through the skin and pores.

    • Acupuncture – Certain pressure points correlate with different parts of the body and can stimulate healing and pain relief

    • Exercise – The ancient saying “use it or lose it” truly covers this. A body that remains sedentary soon will be excellent for nothing else.

    • *Water – The proper balance of fluid intake is vital to life and there is too many types of treatments involving water.

    • Fasting – This can be used as an effective way in eliminating toxins and impurities from the system.

    Herbs are blessings.

Jethro Kloss in Back to Eden advises “What a blessing it would be to the homes of this land whether our children were taught the worth of raspberry leaves, thyme, sage, peppermint, yarrow, and dozens of other wayside herbs. More than half the sicknesses and deaths in early life would be unknown, and chronic sufferers would be a curiosity.” In fair a few pages past this comment, the herbalist, Jethro Kloss lists the benefits and uses of many different types of tree bark, fruits, leaves, and twigs.

*Water is a more healing agent than many other treatments.

In treating the ill we should use the maximum effective and minimum perilous ways to heal and water is one of the best. It is used for:

    • To lower the heart rate – a cool bath can lower the heart rate in fair a few moments.

    • To lower a fever – a cool or cold bath has been used many times to lower a raging temperature.

    • To relax someone who is in pain or suffering from nervousness. Warm baths particularly with certain oils or fragrances can soothe and promote restful sleep.

    • To relieve cramps and convulsions.

    • To halt bleeding and swelling cold water or ice water is often used.

    • To improve regularity

    • To aid in flushing poisons and toxins from the system

    • To aid in increasing blood circulation a warm bath can be used.

In maintaining health water too plays an vital role.

“Of all the vital nutrients you need to outlive, water is the one you simply can’t do without.” Super Life, Super Health by the Editors of FC & A Medical Publishing. To find out whether you are not getting sufficient water peruse Are You Dehydrated?

Water helps us to battle aging:

    • It feeds and cleans your cells, moves in and out of cells, dissolves nutrients, carries them where they need to go, carries waste from our bodies.

    • Water helps to soften our stools and keep our system regular

    • Helps to eliminate heartburn, by washing acid out

    • Helps to regulate our body temperature

    • Aids in healing flushing bacteria from our bodies

    • Conditions, lubricates, and cushions joints

    • Moisturizes skin and lips

    • Helps to halt the formation of kidney stones

    • Helps to preserve weight

    • Is used to wash absent germs on the external too

With all these definitions given for the use of herbs, doesn’t it make you amazement why we don’t use them more often?

Some words of caution before you take alternative medication:

    • In researching herbs first seek out the scientific name and all other names the plant goes by.

    • Whether you mean on growing it yourself be certain you have the right plant and be cautious to use secure products in its cultivation. For example whether you chose a pesticide be certain it is one recommended to use on products grown for consumption.

    • Do not consume any plant whether you are unsure of its properties and always refer your physician or health care provider before adding any modern supplement to your diet.

    • Start at the low conclusion of the recommended dosage first to test for allergies or side effects.

    • Do not take herbs whether you are pregnant or nursing unless advised to do so by your physician.

    • Do not manage herbs to children under 2 without first getting medical advice.

Alternative medication works with the body instead of against it.

Herbs, according to Linda B. White, M.D., Steven Foster and the staff of Herbs for Health, use the concept of “working with the body instead of against a sickness, as mainstream medicine does.” To find a compilation of my herbal articles you check out my blog Seeds 4 thoughts. Lets journey to a healthier lifestyle.

Drug Detox and Alcohol Detox Programs?

    2010 - 07.30

Drug detox and alcohol detox programs are the single best thing you can possibly do whether you‘re struggling with addiction to either alcohol or drugs. To get rid of drugs and alcohol safely from your system, the body goes through what is called detoxification. This is a process that is critical to people fighting addiction to alcohol, prescription drugs or opiates.

Drug detox and alcohol detox programs – your only fighting chance?

For over 90% of people addicted to these substances, drug detox and alcohol detox programs are the final chance they get before succumbing into a downwards, self-destructive abuse spiral. Not many people know this, but suddenly stopping taking drugs or drinking alcohol is incredibly perilous to those that attempt to quit without medical supervision.

Alcohol detox and drug detox programs – a breakthrough from the darkness.

One of the things you’ll memorize in a drug detox or an alcohol detox program is that abuse has dire consequences – both physically, chronic but too mentally. For all of the addicted, living their day-to-day life is nearly impossible. Working under the influence of either lesson of substances makes them prone to all sorts of dangers, from accidents, to social incidents, to diminishing work efficiency. Driving or operating machinery is approach to an impossible task. Relationships crumble. That’s where drug detox and alcohol detox programs come in place. They give those that total them a ray of hope – rehabilitation.

Drug detox and alcohol detox programs – what’s the capture?

Alcohol detox programs in treatment centers or hospitals and drug detox centers both have adopted the spiritual model of Alcoholics Anonymous, too known as AA. This model, along with support structures and medical equipment, tries to reduce the psycho-social and mental harm done by addiction by rooting out the very heart of abuse problems but without interfering with the physical aspect of it. So, you see, there’s no “capture” to drug detox and alcohol detox programs – fair spiritual healing.

Alcohol detox and drug detox – how does it work?

Drug detox and alcohol detox intricacies are rather simple to witness – they fair get together the greatest available self-transformation, or self-care and discovery practices, using the best from psychology and spiritual disciplines, such as yoga. That’s how people finally manage to manage with addiction and reconnect with their spiritual inner self. More so, these practices too assist the body in the detoxification process, and assist people to find peace of intellect and emotional equilibrium. This is what you will find in alcohol detox and drug detox centers.

Drug detox and alcohol detox – what’s after them?

To elude relapsing to drinking or substance abuse, medical science has come up, after intense neurological and genetic research, with a modern range of medication, doctor-prescribed: Suboxone, Subutex, Antabuse (disulfiram) or ReVia (naltrexone). And since we’re talking approximately medical supervision, whether you’re addicted to any of the following substances, you need to be in a medical supervised drug detox program: heroin; codeine; xanax; methadone; vicodin; percodan; darvocet; laam; dilaudid; lorcet; mscontin; oxycontin; percocet; zydone; lortab; stadol; norco.

So keep in intellect: your only hope to elude addiction is finding your inner strength. And you can’t do that without a drug detox or an alcohol detox program

How Safe is Water Birth for Moms and Newborns?

    2010 - 07.30

Throughout the ages, warm water baths have been used to as a natural means to relieve pain and muscle aches, restore emotional balance, and as a drug-release therapy for a number of illnesses.  For this reason, many expectant mothers and families still embrace water baths as the method of pain relief.  With the rising awareness of the side effects of drugs during labor and delivery many healthy expectant moms who are having an uncomplicated pregnancy and women who believe the birth process, wish to avoid drug interventions and medications, opt for water birth.

A baby emerging from a water-filled uterus into a warm bath, gently lifted to the surface is not rushed to breath during water birth.  The trigeminal nerve is gently stimulated as the cool air touches it which triggers the first breath as the newborn baby rests on the mother’s chest, while it is welcomed into the world.  Water birth is a gentle beginning to a baby.  Over the years, midwives, doulas, and doctors encourage pregnant women to utilize a water birth because they have seen its positive benefits to both mothers and babies.  Water birth is a natural, secure and effective option to giving birth.  The only side effect is – somebody gets wet.

bareMinerals 5 Minute Make-over and Product Review!

    2010 - 07.30

I have done another 5 minute make-over for everyone using all bareMineral products, one Estee Lauder Lipgloss and Clarins moisturiser.

Below my video is a small run down on Bare Escentuals the company which makes bareMineral products. It’s always excellent to have a bit of insight into what goes on your face! I highly recommend you peruse it!

Now sufficient of the rant! Let’s get on to the make-over!

    HERE’S WHAT I USED:
    1. ‘Clarins’ Multi-Active Day Cream
    2.’ bareMinerals’ Medium Beige Foundation
    3.’bareMinerals’  Downtown Eyeshadow
    4. ‘bareMinerals’ Soul Eyeshadow
    5. ‘bareMinerals’ Warmth Blush
    6. ‘bareMinerals’ Mascara
    7.’Estee Lauder’ Simply Pink

HERE’S HOW I DID IT:  Please excuse how tired I am in this video!

I have fair started using bareMinerals properly in the final couple of weeks. I got in touch with bareMinerals originally to get people to use something different and something more natural.
I personally like bareMinerals/Bare Escentuals for a variety of reasons, starting with the fact they are animal friendly. I personally believe that there is no need to test cosmetics on animals when there are plenty of people that are pleased to trial things themselves. Being a vegetarian myself, I do what I can to ensure that the products I use on myself and in my make-up kit are cruelty release.
You can get a total list of cruelty release, vegan and or natural products through Peta and various organisations:
     http://shopcrueltyfree.peta2.com/index.aspx
    http://www.crueltyfreeface.com/?page_id=27
    Natural make-up:
    http://www.mypure.co.uk/
    http://www.thenaturalskincarecompany.co.uk/
Now some lists are not up to date so always best to check with the companies, as some who may at one point have tried on animals may have stopped now and gone over to the excellent list. One of those that I know of is Estee Lauder who you can question directly and see it on their site that they do not test on animals. So always best to check with the company first before boycotting everyone.
This isn’t the only reason I like bareMinerals. The name says it all. Bare Escentuals, which is the actual company that produces bareMinerals, prides itself on using 100% mineral based make-up. This means that you won’t find any of those nasty parabens in your make-up, unlike maximum other products we use.
Parabens are a preservative that are used for their bactercidal and fungacidal properties and can be found in maximum of our bathroom and FOOD products such as shampoos, moisturisers, fake tan, food additives and even toothpaste.
There are debates on what parabens do to our bodies with studies indicating that the use of them can result to breast cancer and other ickies. Others say that they are harmless, but I say, whether nature hasn’t naturally supplied parabens in foods and things that are meant to go on or in the body, then we should probably stay clear besides!
Another excellent thing approximately bareMinerals is that they are perfume release, chemical release and therefore gentle on all skin types. This means that maximum people can use them!
bareMinerals aren’t fair powder bases such as foundations, blushers and eyeshadows, it too has lipliners, lipsticks, skin preps and even mascara! So whether you are someone who is looking to do a total, natural, overtake on your make-up drawer, I recommend giving bareMinerals a go.
I know not everyone has the cash to throw out all of their products or may even have some items in their make-up bag that they can’t part with, but a excellent place to start is by buying one thing at a time and eliminating the evil products as much as you can, doing that is better than nothing at all!
You can view their products online or in selected stores: Bare Escentuals

    Thanks for watching!

    Are Mcdonald’s Smoothies Really Healthy?

    2010 - 07.30

In a world where rapid food is synonymous with unhealthy, McDonald’s is trying to sever itself from the stereotypical rapid food drive-through that fattens up its customers by serving them mega-burgers and greasy fries. A modern go that separates McDonald’s from its competitors is the recent launch of McDonald’s smoothies made with genuine fruit. The timing couldn’t be better as consumers see for something cool and refreshing to wet their parched throats, as they contend with record tall temperatures. Certain, a McDonald’s fruit smoothie sounds virtuous. After all, it’s made with fruit – but is it really healthy?

McDonald’s Fruit Smoothies: What’s in Them?

McDonald’s smoothies come in two flavors – strawberry banana and wild berry. To McDonald’s credit, these smoothie drinks are made with genuine fruit puree and concentrated fruit juices. For example, the strawberry banana smoothie is crafted from a fruit blend of strawberry puree, banana puree, and concentrated apple juice. Additional ingredients that make up less than one percent of the total include xantham gum, citric acid, cellulose, pectin, ascorbic acid, and artificial and natural flavors.

To make a sippable smoothie, the fruit blend is added to low stout yogurt and processed in a blender. Keep in intellect that the blend is pre-made, so you won’t see the fruit being chopped up and added to the blender, as you would at some smoothie shops. Whether you want this experience, head to a Smoothie Emperor or Jamba Juice instead.

    McDonald’s Smoothies: The Nutritional Low-Down

Whether you order the smallest McDonald’s smoothie (12 ounces) in the strawberry banana flavor, the calorie content is beautiful fair at 210 calories. The 16 ounce size has 260 calories. But before you bolt over to McDonald’s to pick up one of these fruity creations, bear in intellect that a sixteen ounce smoothie has a whopping 54 grams of sugars – twice the quantity in two Snicker’s bars.

On the plus side, you’ll get more vitamin C, fiber, and calcium from a McDonald’s smoothie than you would from a Snicker’s bar. In addition, the pureed fruit supplies some antioxidants. Still, whether you’re watching your sugar intake, a McDonald’s smoothie is more of a splurge than a dietary staple.

Are McDonald’s Smoothies Healthy: The Foot Line

It’s a positive that McDonald’s is taking steps to promote healthier eating and drinking – and a McDonald’s fruit smoothie has more overall nutrition than a soft drink. Still, their fruit smoothies are best used as a dessert alternative – not a drink to sip with a meal. With so many sugar grams, don’t make these drinks a custom.

    Vitamins for Your Skin

    2010 - 07.29

    Vitamin A

Found in products such as Retin-A, vitamin A increases cell turnover, lightens freckles and age spots, and gives skin a more even tone and texture. Whether you use it consistently for months, it will decrease wrinkles. The downside: it may cause skin to swell, burn, itch, or peel. It too makes skin more prone to sunburn, so you must wear a sunscreen.

    Vitamin B

Vitamin B3 (niacin) has long been used in Asian skin care products as a whitener and brightener. some cosmetics manufacturers claim this inhibits moisture loss while making skin see healthier. Other products contain what they call provitamin B5 (panthenol), which has been used for year sin shampoos and conditioners to hydrate hair and make it feel soft and smooth.

    Vitamin C

There’s no doubt that topical vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid) functions as an antioxidant, helping to guard the skin against hurt from release radicals. But the problem with C is that it’s very unstable; it breaks down quickly and must be stored correctly to remain potent. See for products package din dark or opaque airtight containers. A pump dispenser is brilliant for sealing out oxygen and extending product life.

    Vitamin D

This vitamin helps regulate cell reproduction and  turnover an dis routinely used to treat psoriasis. It’s still not certain how or whether it helps normal skin.

    Vitamin E

You can find this antioxidant i n fair approximately any beauty product. Unfortunately it generally isn’t present in tall sufficient concentrations (5% or more according to a recent study) to really do your skin any excellent.

    Vitamin F

This is linoleic acid, and it’s crucial to proper body function. It probably soothes skin when topically applied, but we fair don’t know.

    Vitamin H

An verbal deficiency of vitamin H (biotin) causes dry, peeling skin, thinning hair, and hurt nails. But there is not much data showing benefit from topical application.

    Vitamin K

This vitamin helps bruises fade quicker. It too inhibits melanin production and, with continued use, can playdown the appearance of dark undereye circles.

When Should a Teen Get Her First Pap Smear?

    2010 - 07.29

Pap smears are a vital screening tool for diagnosing cervical cancer – and it’s vital that all women, youthful and ancient, follow the recommended guidelines for getting this exam – to guard their health. When is the best time to start? A year ago, the guidelines for when a teen should get their first PAP smear were changed by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Here’s what the modern guidelines say.

At What Age Should Teens get a First PAP Smear Test?

The modern American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology guidelines recommends that teens get their first PAP smear at age 21. Previously, the recommendation was for teens to get a first PAP smear three years after fitting sexually active – or no later than age twenty-one.

A PAP Smear Test is a Screening Tool

A PAP smear test screens for cervical cancer, but it can too detect HPV, or human papilloma virus, a virus which increases the risk of developing cervical cancer. Only certain types of HPV increase the risk of cervical cancer – and there’s now a vaccine that protects against seventy-percent of the HPV strains that cause cervical malignancies.

Maximum doctors recommend that teens and women get this vaccine at age eleven or twelve – or before they become sexually active. Teens that aren’t vaccinated against HPV and have any type of sickness that reduces immunity should get a PAP smear test prior to age 21.

How Often Should Youthful Women Get a PAP Smear Test after the First One?

The modern guidelines recommend that women in their twenties be screened every two years, while women in their thirties can wait three years between screenings – but only after they’ve had three negative PAP smear tests in a row.

Why Did the Age for First PAP Smear Alter?

The age for first PAP smear was revised due to the very low incidence of cervical cancer in women under the age of 21. In addition, many teens and younger women find PAP smear screening to be stressful and anxiety-provoking, which too played a role in the guideline changes.

On the other hand, any teen that experiences abdominal pain, bumps or sores in the pelvic region, missed periods, pain with urination, vaginal itching, or bleeding between periods needs to see a doctor, who may recommend a PAP smear test.

    The Foot Line?

The guidelines for when a teen should get a PAP smear has changed, but maximum doctors still recommend that a teen have her first gynecology visit at around age fifteen.
