    Chew This Flavor of Gum to Reduce Nicotine Cravings

    Kicking the smoking custom is a challenge for many people – but one that’s well worth the effort. After only five years absent from cigarettes, a smoker’s lung cancer risk drops by half. Quitting smoking too reduces the risk of other diseases including heart sickness, cancer of the verbal cavity, cancer of the bladder or kidney, pancreatic cancer, and stroke.

The smokers were questioned not to light up for two days during each week of the study – and to chew one of various flavors of gum to see how it would affect their symptoms of nicotine withdrawal.

    Were some chewing gum flavors better than others for easing nicotine withdrawal symptoms? The smokers who chewed vanilla and apple cardamom flavored gum had the fewest symptoms of nicotine withdrawal during their period of abstinence. They experienced less anxiety, tension, and fatigue compared to those who chewed no gum – and relative to smokers who chewed the other flavor tried – peppermint. This is surprising since mint is among the maximum well loved nicotine gum flavors.

    The Foot Line?

    It’s difficult to draw solid conclusions from this study since the smokers weren’t quitting smoking permanently, fair taking two day breaks from smoking each week.     The Truth Behind Some of Those Health Warnings on The Internet

    You might believe these messages because they seem to be well-researched.  But for certain, unconsciously, you might too be wondering approximately the veracity of such reports.  Here are some examples of those widely circulated emails that have been (and still are) going around.

    Can Anti-Perspirants Really Cause Breast Cancer?

    Can Using Cellular Phones Really Lead to Brain Tumor?

    The rumors even go as distant as saying that putting the cellphones in pants pockets could even cause testicular cancer!

    According to experts, there are no scientific studies that could back up that rumor. Present scientific knowledge does not prove that radiation from cellular phone transmitters could cause cancer.

    Are Shampooo and Toothpaste Cancerous Too?

    The email messages say that sodium laureth sulfate (SLS), a substance that makes shampoo and toothpaste foamy and sudsy, causes cancer. It claims that SLS is a very powerful substance that is a main ingredient in garage floor cleansers.

    Experts from the Health Canada has investigated the circulating letter and learned that the email warning is a plain hoax. According to the article published by Health Canada “The letter is signed by a person from the University of Pennsylvania Health System and includes a phone number. Health Canada contacted the  University of Pennsylvania Health System and found that it is not the author of the sodium laureth sulfate warning and does not endorse any link between SLS and cancer.”

    Screening Method for Cervical Cancer

    YAY! Videos are finally up and running again….and even better they are now being filmed within my own small art studio at the house! Woop! I can’t tell you how excited I am to have my own designated space for tutorials now!

    I still need to place some finishing touches on the studio and get some better lighting, but so distant so excellent.

    Besides, moving on! Here is my first tutorial in my modern small den! This tutorial is on the modern A/W ‘10 make-up trend. Black is out, Brown is in!     This is the first time I've had to travel down from Cambridge to London for a job since I went two weeks ago and it was surprisingly rapid and simple.

    The team is really lovely and everyone has clicked straight absent. Chirag, the creative director for the shoot, is brilliant and I'm enjoying his banter and his creative eye.

    It's been a beautiful brilliant day so distant! A talented small team they have here, who are relaxed to be around and very professional at the same time.

    Vigorous Exercise Cuts Risk of Breast Cancer

    While preceding studies revealed that exercises may guard against breast cancer, a study by the National Cancer Institute of the U.S. National Institutes of Health points out that not all exercise qualifies.  In following 32, 269 women for 11 years, the researchers learned that those engaging in vigorous exercises on a regular basis were the ones less likely to develop the sickness, regardless of their weight.  Their reduced risk amounted to a stunning 30 percent.

    Activities that qualify as vigorous include heavy housework, like scrubbing floors and washing windows, or heavy yard work, such as digging or chopping wood.  Healthful, fun activities included rapid jogging, competitive tennis, bicycling on hills, and rapid dancing.

    The study suggests two possible mechanisms responsible for the benefit measured: enhanced immune function and decreased inflammation in the body.  It’s vital to note that excess weight is believed to increase the risk of cancer.

    Are Ovarian Cysts Associated with a Higher Risk of Ovarian Cancer?

    Ovarian cysts aren’t strange in women. The maximum common type of cyst on the ovary is called a functional cyst. This type of cyst basically consists of a collection of fluid interior the ovary.     The Risk of Ovarian Cancer and Simple Cysts: What Does This Mean?

Excellent news for people who suffer from asthma!

    Vitamin D may reduce the risk of developing this severe allergic reaction in asthmatics, but it could make life a small simpler for people with cystic fibrosis too. Low levels of vitamin D are common in people with cystic fibrosis, since they don’t absorb stout-soluble vitamins like vitamin D well.
